New VW/mk4 owner
« on: 10 June 2009, 22:20 »
Hi guys and gals,

This is the first VW and golf i have owned and tbh i suprised about it myself. I previously owned a skyline r32 but that was a royal pain in the arse due to high maintance and constantly blowing turbos. I was just looking for a reliable runner with abit of go and reallt looking for a civic type r. After looknig around on the market a friend told me to look at some golf gti's. I saw a few 1.8t mk4s on piston heads that where in mint condition with good asking prices. the orginal one i wanted sold but it so happeneed there was one 17 miles away which was cheaper and had a good back ground with great service history. Snapped it up really quick and thats how i became a fellow golf owner.
Love the car its really sold and i didnt even know golfs came it turbos but i am a JDM fan but always respected the german market. Ofc upon buying my mk4 gti 1.8t i started looking for some clubs and forums and this seems like a good home and a good place to pick peoples brains.

Got a few questions about the 1.8t engine and will posting them along with some pics in the mk4 forums when i get the time.
