Air Filters/induction kits

I need some recommendations plz. Got £100 to spend on one.
Found two on ebay

i saved money on not getting an induction kit


what i did was... drilled big of holes in the air box (bottum and wingside) brought myself some vents to put at the front of my car, then on the air box there is 90 degree angle trumpet, i cut that off and attached some ducting that i brought and linked it to the front vents and jubilee clipped it in places, then purchased myself a lovely pipercross panel filter:)

i was told this is just as good as an induction kit, if not better:)
and i didnt spend £100 odd:)

mmmm....i like ya style.However Im not clued up on cars at all and all that seems far past my capabilities..lol and im lazy and i love throwing cash away.
ok in your view, out of the two i posted what 1 is best?

its easy to do mate, not hard at all and just as effective

well personally id go for powertec, but i recommend if you dont do what i did

get either a pipercross induction kit, or a k+n

BMC CDA if you're serious, cost a little more but actually make a difference, or K&N cone with a decent air feed.

Unbranded stuff on eBay isn't worth sh!t.

Do something along these lines and save yourself a load of money and get about the same amount of power gain as a good one. Virtually all induction kits are pointless anyway and even in some cases make the the car lose power due to the extra heat soaking factor. That lovely big black airbox wasn't designed that way for nothing.

do this job properly and get a good air feed you'll be well away

both of them are crap...see if you can find an evo sport or as above get a BMC

good filters, drill the box, save your money.... a cheap induction kit can cost you a lot more in the long run... especially if it's badly fitted: little bits of anything (especially little bits of induction kit) going intothe engine ain't good!!
