Thought I would join up with this site. I have put my Silver 8v GTI back on the road after about 7 years of being stuck in the garage.
I have done a fair amount of work to her. From Spax lowering kit to a new reconditioned engine. I have just done my first miles for a long time with the beauty from Cardiff to London and all seems well. I have enjoyed the acceleration and planted steering.
Added... All new tyres, new Spax Lowering kit, K&N fileter, a damned noisy stereo, new recon engine and various switches and seats all replaced. Its ll looking pretty standard at the moment but lots of fun!
Im looking to get some info on where I can get my car tuned in London, its running well but as it a new engine, it seems to be misfiring slightly on tick over. I though that the ECU would be set up for the old engine and not set right for the new one?
Any help would be great thanks!!
