evening all.

Picked up my Mk4 Golf GTi a few weeks ago, 2.0 8v.  (yes, I know, should of done a bit more homework)

Anyway, It sounds as if there is a VERY small blow at the front of the exhaust.  ive had it at two different garages who have both said it is'nt.

Do they just sound that way?

Put your hand near where you think it's blowing and feel for the blow, but don't touch the exhaust itself

If two different garages said it's not, then it's probably not

If an exhaust is blowing, chances are the surrounding area will be sooty. If you can see where you think the blow is, check for dark black horrible stuff!

You can always stick your foot against the open end of the exhaust, if pressure builds up, then chances are there isn't a blow.  If it doesn't bulld up, then you've got a leak in the system :)
