Tomorrows a big day

All booked in for

1. Main Service
2. DSG service
3. Cambelt Change
4. Fuel pump, water pump
5. Brake Fluid Change
6. A/C Change

Bloody expensive time the ol' fourth year eh?   :sick:

I am doing to cambelt early as I plan on keeping this beauty and may as well get it all done in a one-er.

Will advise how it all goes.....

why are you changing the fuel pump??  :huh:  you upgrading or do you have problems with your current one?

Errr.. sorry fuel filter I think...though, actually I dont think it is being changed...sorry (it was on my original list, since I read somewhere that its worth getting done at the same time as the rest)....but the indy said nah...

Costs around £700-£800, will post final amount on Wednesday.

why do something early, as some c0ck could drive into it and right it off. save your money until it needs doing IMHO.

Its due in September 2009, its June therefore only 4 months really...will save me booking the car in twice.

Is the GTI a fragile car? I've never known so many worries on a car forum about things breaking :(

They were known to snap on ABFs at 40k, so he's right to change it sooner than later.

The recommended is 60k or 4 years, whichever comes first.
A friend of mine hit 60k miles first, so got it changed then, and was told the belt was still in decent condition etc - and he doesnt drive with a light foot either!
