I will probably be selling my RNS510 towards the end of august this year. So will probably hold a closed auction or something.

Has all the speed cameras installed, and a few other bit of info that were on the version 3 DVD.

Will also come complete with about 15gb of music... only a click to remove albums so might save you a few quid also.

Cost me £40 to get it fitted... from anyone with a bit more patience than me :undecided:

RNS510 does have DVD playback. It also has an SD card slot, I think it has a provision for Bluetooth?

Haven't seen an aftermarket unit yet scouring the net that looks half as good as the RNS510... welcome and open for suggestions though! Any recommendations?

Yes you can add a Bluetooth adaptor but they cost over £300! and on top of the £700+ you have already paid makes it a very dear do.

The Pioneer Avic F700BT or F900BT can be picked up for half of that price!

Dammit I'd have offered to buy it off ya. How much were you thinking of selling it for?

Agreed - the price of the RNS from VW is something like £1500.
The only reason for buying it would be the visual finish. I've got plan up my sleeve which, AFAIK, involves the RNS510.

I installed my RNS in about an hour, as I was being very careful.

good point, but however the Pioneer Avic F700BT or F900BT can also be removed from your car just as easily as it was fitted.  RNS is much harder to get out and less attractive to thieves.
