Who is best to chip my R32?
« on: 15 August 2004, 16:17 »
Hi all.

Well, I am now the proud "father" of an  ex-demo R32.

8 months old, 5500 miles, Reflex Silver, 3 door, and my new baby!

However, it does need chipping.

Reading The Golf mag, they ran a long article of AMD, who to be fair came out well, but there must be others. I do know West Tuning (Thruxton or Silverstone?) fettle R32's, but are they any good?

Please can you all extend your thoughts to my little dilemma.

Cheers

Ed.

P.S I want to keep the standard exhaust on if I can

Hi Ed,

Are you disappointed with the performance then?

APR is another big name tuner that do R32 stuff

VW themselves have issued a couple of ECU updates for the R32 to eliminate some known flat spots in acceleration, from what i hear there isn't much between the AmD and APR maps for your car.. but everyone is praising the milltek exhausts to go with them  8)
