big bumpers on my small bumper car

Hi i have a 1989 golf gti 16v it was a small bumper car but some one has fitted big bumpers on it before i got it. i didnt notice it to start with but its starting to bug me has this de valued my car?

its a straight forward swap back so i wont say its devalued the car, but some people might be put off slighty if you where thinking of selling.

oh and small bumpers rock!

I wouldnt say its devalued the car but i know if it were mine I'd have to put the original small bumpers on again...

I don't think it would have de-valued your car at all, and to be honest, not many people will notice the spec/year difference unless they are a VW geek from here!
I would not worry to much, but it's down to your prefered choice. Small or big...personal taste.

i'm swaping to big big bumpers on my track toy.   i keep getting high speed frount end lift     my gti taht had big bumpers never did that so i'll be seeing what happens with them fitted

Do you have the 16v spoiler fitted with the skinny bumpers?

 Never had a problem with front end lift in my old Golf with it fitted.

But then perhaps I didn't drive it fast enough
