Hello...
« on: 31 May 2009, 17:46 »
Hi, im pretty new here so thought it time to introduce myself. Ive just recently bought a aum 1.8t on a y ( after doing a bit of homework on here ) and it is the best car ive owned by a long way.
I had no idea there were differnt engine codes/turbos before so very helpful. golfgti.co.uk  :cool: im hooked, heres some pics

opinions and ideas, good and bad welcome,

So far ive had;

Engine -  full turbo back milltek, forge tip, smoothed airbox  with pipercross filter with dsg intake, forge 007 diverter valve, stage 1 remap
Exterior - 4 motion front and rear valances (soon to be colour coded and maybe smoothed depending on price) de-badged, mk5 rear wiper, front retro aero wipers

So to come next tt brake set up, front and rear arb, coilovers and some 18s which im really stuck on. im thinking mk4 r32 reps, mk5 r32 reps or rs4 reps?? :huh:

Then when funds are back hopefully a stage 2 remap.
Sorry if this has been asked before ive had a search but cant find, did the 2001 aum come with a k03-s? i hope so :angry:

Looks good anyway. I think the anni wheels are one of the best looking, loads of people on here have got them. Would get them myself but don't trust the wife with them  :lipsrsealed:

You dont want anni wheels, they look crap and are common as muck  :rolleyes:
I often wonder why people never expect sarcastic comments from me - they're the only reason I speak...

Bit of advice, r32 wheels are a nightmare to clean. Start looking very old quick

It should have yes. Only identifiable using the blue plaque on the turbo itself.
