right, as you probs all know, im new to the forum, and im new to vw's

.
i came from a line of fords and peugeots, and none were turbo, so this is my first turbo car aswell.
i have done a search for all the info, but it all seems so vauge, so was wondering if i could have some help in this topic?
that way, i can refer back to this topic for help

anyways, onto the questions.
I have an AGU engine, and it has been remapped already, and apparently is running approx 195bhp, but no print out of power.
I have proof of the remap though, it had a Custom Code remap, and was done at Midland VW in Cannock, Staffordshire.
The car also has a CAI, which im guessing means a Cold Air Induction!?
It goes down into the wheel arch behind the bumper
i have a few things planned for a stage 2:
replace re-circ valve with Forge 007p
FMIC kit off ebay
full exhaust system (not sure which make yet though)
i have been looking around, and have been pricing up exhausts, and so far, Powerflow have been the cheapest.
i was quoted £460 for a 3" bore downpipe from the turbo back, with a inter-changeable decat pipe, going into a 2.5" bore from the cat/decat back, with a tip of my choice, or £640 to replace cat/decat pipe with sports cat.
which would be more beneficial, a decat pipe, or a sports cat? i realise ill have to change decat for every M.O.T.

will this give me a noticeable gain, and be much better for a Stage 2 remap?
will the FMIC give me any noticeable gains?
is there anything else ill have to do to make the most out of a stage 2?
i dont really wanna upgrade my turbo, unless i really have to.
anyways, i just want your advice as to where to go next in terms of power, etc.
oh, and 1 more question, the person i bought it off told me to keep the car ticking over for about a minute before i turn it off after driving it? will this improve turbo life? if i dont do it all the time, will it cause damage?
i know you probs get these types of questions all the time, and are probs fed up of answering them, but i am grateful for any comments and help given

Thanks, Matt
