the ignition issue,
can i just use the vr6 ecu loom etc, then replace the 8v transponder reciever under the dash/collum
with the vr6 one,
then
remove the chip from the vr6 key and put it into the 8v key, this way i would be using the 8v key mechanism, barrels, keys etc, but the key chip would be transmitting the vr6 info to the vr6 reviever behind the dash/collum??? ( Surely this would work ok??)

im a mechanic and a good with electronics/electrics etc so im quite comfortable, however im a vw virgin

so learning the tech stuff...
yeah i have vag com..
also why shouldnt i attempt the de-immobilising??? (although hopefully i wont need too)
is it possible for the diy`er??
