My psychic powers say yes, I can also tell you what's in your glovebox - for a price obviously

My psychic powers say your allen head caliper securing bolts are quite possibly 7mm and thus you'll need a 7mm allen key to undo them.

Many allen bit kits exclude the 7mm bit, so you might need to nip to GSF or similar and buy a dedicated allen key with the rubber sheathed handle to undo the bolts, or buy a 'proper' bit kit.

I only really posted this to use the word 'sheathed'
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Well Diamond Geezer Im afraid to say your psychic powers aint up to much so maybe a few lessons from old Del Ackora wouldnt go a miss
The reason I asked was because my 6mm was turning in the head so went and borrowed a 7mm only to find its to big  So now I have a problem :undecided:

I had this problem not long ago with the allen bolts on my lower pulleys.  The solution that worked for me was to use a flare nut spanner and a hammer.

I think I used a 10mm or 12mm spanner for the pulley bolts, and a moderately largely sized hammer.  Hammer the spanner over the bolt, and these flare-nut ones grip a lot better than normal spanners.  Could be worth a shot, although be careful, because I expect your brake calipers won't take so kindly to hammering as an engine block.  :undecided:

Got the bloody thing off today. Took about 20 minutes with a chisel and the biggest hammer I could find and a few wacks later and a splined drive hammered in and it turned. Probably need a new slider kit now as I had to cut away a bit of plastic but at least the worst is done. Problem is I cant see anything wrong with the brakes and everything seems to be working (caliper, slider not seized, shoes ok) but yet it failed on 37%. Ive done as much as I can now in the time ive got so if it fails I`ll let the garage sort it against my better judgement.

I hope not  :undecided:
Read a few archives on here with simlilar problems and a new set of pads solved it so gonna wack some in monday. Thing is the car dont pull to one side under light or heavy braking so I was very supprised that there was an issue.
