MK4 r32 v's MK5 gti help please!

What do you guys think about Mk4 r32 v's MK5 gti have the cash for one which one would you go for?

If i had to chose then GTI, im not a huge fan of the mk4 shape!

Usefull...  :rolleyes:

I would go for the GTI, likely to be more fun and much more tuneable if you want to go down that road  :wink:

If it was me, I'd factor in the MPG difference and go for the GTi everytime.

But depends how many miles you do. Also the MK4 interior is a little basic. Dont forget you could remap a GTi and still get decent mpg figures when taking it steady and it would be as quick (if not quicker) than the MK4 R32.

Everyone is different and therefore demand different things from their car.

An impossible question for anyone but yourself to answer.

You need to take both of them out for a test drive and decided yourself. I opted for GTI due to running cost (MPG mainly) and I think the GTI looks nicer.

Thanks for the help guys. Has anyone had both cars and any thoughts. How does the MK4 R32 compare with the MK5 R32 and I mean in terms of driving pleasure not the quality of the interior.

Mk V GTI every time. The Mk IV is the worst incarnation of the Golf to date, even with 3.2 R engine. Mk V more mature and by far the best dynamics. A classic :wink:
