A few pics of my Grey 5 Door ED30 DSG......
« on: 24 May 2009, 12:14 »
Just been out giving her a good old wash.

Washed using 2 bucket method with Autowash, and wash mit - seperate wash mit for the lower part of car and wheels, sheeps wool wash mit for main body of car.

AutoGlym fast Glass on Windows.

Optimum Car Wax (spary) on body after wash and dried.

Autosol with 00 wire wool on exhaust (although I still cant get it as shiny as I would like!)

Megs High Endurance Tyre shine.

Dyson hoover for the inside, with some Dash wet wipes.

Still need to get some leather conditioner so havent done that yet.

Im not really much of a detailer, and it takes me a good 3 hours to get all the above done!
Does the car look as shiney as it should, or am I missing something??
Your comments are welcome

I forgot to mention - I do have some Poorboys wheel sealer, and plan to take the wheels off at some point when I next get time to give them a proper clean and seal, while applying some Hammerite to thehubs to get rid of the rust!

EDIT: Just noticed the bit of white fluff hanging down on the left side of the exhausts. Off to remove it quick!

Wife had a go at me yesterday.
All I did was to tell her how to get in and out of the car properly to protect the bolster!
Then I politely informed her not to wear hand cream before she gets in the car, as it leaves greasy marks on the inside door handle, since its plastic.
After which I performed my usual tasks of lifting the kids into their car/booster seats, and then removing their shoes (dont want em leaving dirty marks on the back of the front seats now do we!).
Some people, huh!

Been there done that.   They just don't get it. Like the time I said, "If you want to drive the car, mind the alloys......."  After two years she still hasn't driven it !!!!!!
