1.8 8v gti just replaced my head gasket and when doing so i found out its a tsr engine with a tsr202 cam with a standard pulley,thing is when i timed it up it ran good but was flat(i also fitted a 4 branch manifold at the same time)
when the timing is set to factory i get 12bar on all 4 but is flat
when i set the cam 1 tooth forward i get 14bar on all 4 and it goes better but you can only use half throttle as it misfires on full throttle
when i set the cam 2 teeth forward i get 16bar on all 4 and it sounds a lot better but wont rev over 4500rpm
the only thing that is different to before is the manifold so would this make that much difference that i would have to have it tuned again,also i have played with the dizzy timing as i was told that it would make a difference but all that does is make it pink even worse?
