I'm looking to buy a tdi for around 2000. Obviously with my budget they're all quite high mileage. Should I steer clear of anything above 130k? I've heard they're good engines but still its quite alot of miles.

My boss has got a 2002 TDI 130 and thats now on 145k and runs very good.

mines just hit 100K, remapped for the last 18K and still runs fine (runs off to hug a big oak tree)

the only think to keep in mind is that the cam shaft on all the PD engines is very prone to fail, the TDI 150s are more common to fail, but they all suffer from this problem.
