does anyone know of any companies in south east (guildford)
who can service my aircon. Its had a regas over a year ago but recently in the hot weather,was making a strange noise. Seems ok now. Would like to find someone trustworthy that can give the system a once over for my own piece of mind

Mainly done by specialist companies, i use one round here (Swindon) so thats too far away for you.
Try Yell.com for one local to you

I got my aircon serviced last year by Wheelbase in Walton on Thames.  I wouldn't recommend them for general servicing of your VW (I have used them once or twice and was not that pleased), but they did a great job on the aircon - it's never been so cold!
