end of one chapter in my 'stolen' story...
« on: 19 May 2009, 20:47 »
For everyone who has been following or just interested in what has been going on since my car was taken from me here is the newest GOOD update.

ITS A LONG ONE -- but worth it

Today i was told the car was being repaired for 4700 after VW said everything is fine..... B**lox to that as the exterior damage was 4600 so 100 on what an air filter????

I lost it, told Esure i wanted to speak to the assessor and just let rip, he told me it was going to get repaired as nothing wrong so i informed him politely

after 2000 unwanted miles on my car and NO mechanical repairs would he guarantee the brakes, clutch, suspension, engine, gearbox, exhaust etc for 12 months as when i bought the car all these would not need replacing for 2 years if ever, i told him how can he tell me after the milage that my brakes will be AS THEY WERE when the car left me along with the rest of my car?, i asked if i paid my insurance for the car to be repaired to the standard i had it because he was not doing that and the car would not be to the correct standard.

I finished with "i do not want any work carried out on my vehicle until I say so as i am seeking legal advice and am not happy with the assessor report and or VW's claim that nothing needs replacing, i want all diagnostic data emailing to me and a break down of every test and outcome"

He rang back saying he has the car sold to a scrapper and would i take an offer, after debate and £15750 later i have just got 1250 MORE than i paid for the car 8 weeks ago.... NOW THAT IS DEPRECIATION FOR YOU.

looking at either a MK4 R32 or a mint S3, need to free money up as im having alot going on in my life right now

Chris

Excellent news, goes to show how much the insurance companies care unless you kick up!

Good luck finding the next car!

Cheers, in all fairness i dont think i can have a MK5 GTI, would always compare to my R32 so i need a fresh start in MK's or make.

Could see myself in a MK4 R32, MK3 Vr6, S3 or a Rallye. i need to spend no more than 10k if im to be financially better off.

Good news that - VERY annoying that you've got to lose it with people to get what is RIGHTFULLY yours

I've only done it with a laptop, but got the same outcome :)

Good luck with whatever you decide to get.

Dan :)
