keep leaving my lights on!
« on: 19 May 2009, 17:55 »
Does anyone no what the problem could be? Every other car ive had gives off a warning beep when you leave on your lights and open the drivers door. Ive had my golf 6 months and its never given off a warning. im sure that the cars meant to, any ideas what it could be. I dont learn and keep getting flat batteries . Luckily i live on a hill  so easy to jump start!

hmm not sure if thats linked to a faulty door module  :undecided:

does your interior light come on when you open the drivers door? any trouble locking / unlocking the car?

only other thing i can think of is when you remove the key but still have the lights on, its not getting the signal from the barrell saying the key has been removed  :undecided:

My interior light plays up sometimes with the drivers door, plus it locked my keys in even though I opened the door, so perhaps we both have a faulty door module.

I look forward to finding out how this is replaced.

auto electrician might be cheaper; although that will depend on his skills

ideally you want a fault code reader to see if it picks up any faults
