Drivers door light + interior light not working

Can anyone give me a link to somewhere in here for fixing - Drivers door light + interior light.

Basically the car doesn't know the drivers doors been opened,  also plays with the alarm lol. On most cars there's the " fridge like switch " on the inner door panel that can jam sometimes....  can't see it on the MK4

I've done a search in here but just can't find the right thread....

sounds like a faulty door module - is it just the drivers door that doesn't activate the interior light?
