EVO MS AIR INTAKE FITTED
« on: 18 May 2009, 20:08 »
Just had a EVO cold air intake fitted today and well impressed. Thing is huge! Last filter i had was a K&N about 8yrs ago and was quite toss to be honest (and small)

Was suggested having a larger turbo fitted which is quite tempting but not too sure! Was planning on keeping it totally stock but it's just not happening

Well I'm just about to go in and swap out the Carbonio for the EVOM's. Arrived early this afternoon and looks quite a bit tasty

I have the 12 page pdf file printed out and tools at the ready. Fingers are ready to have plasters attached at a moments notice

Hurdy, when you're done and as a favour, could you clear your faults in vcds (even if none are present) then check your fuel trim after around 100 miles. It's block 032 and you can do it without starting the engine.

Hib,

Yours is a K03 isn't it?

I can't see a take off pipe on the top of the turbo pipe, so it must be.

Did they have to cut anything from the airbox shield?

I've started doing mine and the Forge DV piping is in the bloody way!!!!

Not to mention that the heatshield doesn't fit 'cos there is extra piping there

Also not to mention that my aftermarket lights and sound system have flooded the "Spare" area with circuitry

Then again, I have a saw and I'm not afraid to use it

Hi guys

What would you expect with a different air intake? I'm a bit naff at tuning!
