HA HA HA!! Maybe not this is what happens when you drive too fast round bends in the wet!!!
I couldnt believe my luck ive only just had the wheels refurbished and ive been taking extra care when parking, parking at least a metre away from the kerb and getting a taxi to the pavement so i dont kerb the wheels! ive been so careful and was saying only the other day how pissed i would be if i would kerb them. but i think ive kerbed them good and proper.

The reason for topic is that does anyone have a rim for sale or no where i can get one for a good price. I think that i might just need an outer piece any response would be great nice one!

ouch! yeah maybe with some autosol they'll be as good as new  

could try www.supergolfs.com for a spare rim. at least that is the good thing about splits -  being able to take them apart

Also the wishbone is bent, sterring rack is bent, and maybe the suspension its going to be costly. im not to happy at the moment nor would anyone else be in the same situation

I would be crying if that was my wheel.

there is a few companies that do the larger outer rims if you wanted to do a new look  around ?60 a side.

I know someone who searched for a standard size rim for ages found it on e-bay in the end!

Ouch, I know exactly how you feel Kevin. I did exactly the same a few years back, going round a junction too quick locked the front wheels and slid smack-bang into a really high kerb. I knackered one of my bbs, bent the wishbone, anti-roll bar and steering rack. Your suspension may well have survived as there is quite a lot of give in the top strut mounts. Mine all survived the impact.
Hope you get it sorted soon.

P.S. don't bother with an insurance claim, that's what I did and they were going to write it off so I cancelled the claim and got it fixed myself (about ?1000 in the end). Unfortunately by the time I cancelled the claim my car had already been listed as a write-off.

A ?1000 thats crazy i havnt got that to spend at the moment but i managed to pick up all the bit off another golf for ?20 not bad and i am attempting to fix it all myself so hopefully it will all go well.
well actually ive spent a few hours on it all ready and its hard work to do but i dont mind the hard work as long as it saves me a few quid hey!

G6 DUB ive been looking on the german e-bay and ive got a friend 'sandra' who lives in berlin and she translated it all for me so i will try to find the rim from germany now

Bloody hell havnt they got some nice rims in germany they have some nice examples there!
