Clipper brake light switch help req'd....
« on: 17 May 2009, 17:42 »
tried sorting lack of brake lights in my 89 Clipper yday. As it's a converted auto to manual conversion, the pedal box has been fitted out of the manual. Done a quick search, but it says mark ones have the switch in the master cylinder? Mine hasn't! There is the correct wire dangling down near the brake pedal. So I fitted a Mk2 switch. All fitted up nicely, but the contact plunger doesn't reach the pedal! Adjusted the pedal deadstop as far as it'll go, but it isn't long enough! Is there a specific brake light switch for a Clipper?????

Would love to bring the Cabby, but she's up for sale, as soon as she's roadworthy. . I originally bought it for my Mrs, but her boss may be getting her a new Mini convertible as she got promoted to manager couple weeks ago. Soooo, no need for the Cabby. Desperate to get my Mk2 valver idling right too! Hopefully be taking the Oak to E38 this year! What you taking mate?

Love that colour mate! You got the same front tyres as on my Mk2, Yoko A509?

Did you find out why the brake pedal was soft?  I assume so, as you have a ticket for it now.
