Missing boot items
« on: 17 May 2009, 10:06 »
Hello, just bought a 16v 5 door with only 58,000ml! Great condition and I was a little dubious of the mileage when buying the car but have thoroughly gone over the car over the last few weeks and it thankfully does seem to be genuine. I am repairing a few of the minor issues, split roof aerial, door catch etc and noticed a couple of holders for something in the boot on the nearside of the vehicle. Any help on finding out what goes into these holders would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Thijs

Wouldn't be fun if it was easy, but does it have to be this much fun?

Thanks for all the swift responses, now I know what's supposed to be there I'll see if I can find some.

Great to be back in a golf again. I had a mk2 1.6 driver for about four years through uni and early working years that was a great workhorse and the 16v feels remarkably similar in so many ways, like coming back to a comfy pair of old slippers!! Which is saying something considering I bought it as a run-around having sold an S6 as I don't drive very much anymore.

Am I right in saying there was a first aid kit in there too?

I'm sure I've seen one on ebay once.

Cost £50ish tho.

Would be if you you needed extra cash and you had the plastic holder that it sit's in aswell. Personally if I had it I wouldn't get rid of it, it's one of those uncommon peices that you rarely see.
