wat about the golf citi

Golf Citi was not a GTi, they made 'sporty' versions like the .:R recently.

The Citi was made as a cheapo town car that you bought your maid  Or the Police
Passat B5.5 2.3 V5 170, with all the extras.

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

This is obviously a USA quiz, because as per the engine question, it also reckons the GTI had a 1.6 8v engine option, which it didn't in the UK.
"3. What engine variants did the MKII/A2 Golf/GTi's came in?
Your Answer: 1.6L 8-valve; 1.8L 8-Valve & 16-Valve; 2.0L 16-Valve; 1.8L G60"

And question 1 is obviously just a case of the USA getting the GTI a year later than we did.
