People with subs

When you installed your subs did you run the phono next to the power on the passenger side or run them down the middle or drivers side?Usually I run them separate to avoid interference but wondering if its a massive problem if they are run together.

Always separate them! Will get interference!

separate - the phono cables (for the audio) aren't balanced (screened), so you'll get lots of interference!!

Alan, where did you go through to get the power cable from the battery into the car?

haha well, I attempted to get the job done via a how to guide but soon found out that these modern engine bays a right pain unless you know what your doing, started and then gave up. Took it t my local audio place to run the wiring through, got cheap as I got them to just run the wires in and I did the rest. I know they came through the back of the glove box, I can take some pics over the weekend of my engine bay? you can see where the wires go as its a bright orange power cable.

Pics would be fantastic dude. Yeah I did exactly the same as you, but realised that the build quality of the Golf was far better than previous cars!! Much appreciated

Alex - I'm not putting anything in at the moment. I've been running a sub for over a year now, but out of complete frustration with the engine bay I have run the power cable underneath the car. No problems so far, but I appreciate that its not exactly ideal. So at some point this Summer when the weather gets better I was planning on getting the powercable through the bulkhead somehow!! So whilst this topic was up and running I just thought that I'd ask for advice.

And trust me....you wouldn't want my help, I'm completely useless hahaha!! I get my best mate to do all the ICE stuff for me because he is pretty good with it all, I just sit there and watch lol!  :embarassed: :embarassed: :embarassed: :embarassed: :embarassed: :embarassed:
