My mates mk3 Driver had a one piece plastic standard grill thats why i said it lol

Think they were different on Gtis. You can seperate them apart.

Never tried, but you can feel that they are more than one peice as they wrattle in your hand. Same on Standard Vento Grilles i think.

Yeah it's definately metal on mine (there is a tiny bit of rust over one of the corners), and I can see from how it's connected that it's separate from the grill.

Enough about what it's made of, does it have a name?!
