Best thing about 1.8T's, you can boot them asmuch as possible then instead of looking at your mpg just change it to average speed, faster you go the more it goes up :D

Average 35 to 37 normally but got it to 40 plus on a long run, 1.8 GTI T remapped, miltek, CDA air box.
MK4 GTI T AGU, REVO Remap, BMC carbon box, Miltek cat back, Forge diverter valve, THS FR3 engine/Gbox mounts, Some random alloys, lowered on coilovers.
192bhp 212lbft torque.

lol at newsflash.

I get about 32 in my 1.8T but I am lead to believe if you dont have the undertray you get a few less miles per galon.

I agree with the onc eyou get a diesel you will want a petrol. I sold my Nissan 200sx Turbo due to fuel costs, bought a 106 diesel and was bored sh!tless so bought a 306 diesel and kept saying Minicab :D.

I think the new PDI engines are much smoother and quieter but I do prefer my 1.8T now. Best of both worlds, not too bad on juice and fairly swift even before a remap.

No undertray fitted on my wifes, try using decent fuel, only put shell V MAX in and noticed an improvement when we started this.
