Speaking as his royal nubness i have no idea! Double din i reckon (i presume that means it takes up the whole space and not half yeah?) Not too bothered about touch screen tbh would be nice though. Any idea on costs?

looks good.
upgrading the headunit improves the speakers a bit but you still might want to consider changing the speakers or adding a small sub.

I'm looking at something like the Pioneer F700/900bt with uprated speakers. Already got the JBL sub to go in the wheelarch ;)

The Pioneer is a bit pricey though - circa £700. But it does have built in satnav, so deduct the cost of a TomTom, and it's looking pretty good. What I really like is the Ipod interface. V good.

The gadget show did a review of 3 units last night, a pioneer that retailed around the £650, an alpine that was around £800 and the star of the show was a kenwood unit that was around £1100.  I think the pioneer had the nicest interface/sat nav, the alpine had the best screen but overall the kenwood was tops for audio quality and general usability.

Cheers

Are you building a custom enclosure or have you tracked down a ready made wheel arch enclosure?

There is a cheaper pioneer one which I like the look of but doesn't have satnav.

thats alot of money for aftermarket imo.

RNS-510... keeping it real, can be had for £800 or so. Would spend the rest on speakers etc.
