I think the black interior on the GTI looks great, far better than the ghastly white/beige you usually get

yup, the interior looks great, the ceiling especially.

I had a sun roof in my mk4 and its something I really miss in the mk5.  It brightens up the interior a lot and crucially just gives you an extra choice for how to cool your car.  Perfect for town where a/c just gobbles down the fuel.  Out on the open road close the sunroof and crank up the a/c

Yeah agreed, I love having air con AND sunroof, gives you the options in all weather
