Scuttle ground back:

Primered to see where it needs a skim of filler:

Rear 1/4 inner arch ground back, fillered and primered. Needs a little more work but getting there:

Badge recess cut out (The car is an 86 so shouldn't have it, rear panel has been replaced at some point):

Patch made up for the rear panel:

Scuttle skimmed with filler and primered:

Rain interrupts play:

Rear bench area and tunnel area primered to proctect where I have ground back all the brackets and runners:

Too much rain and paint fumes meant an early finish today.

Just won a set of 15" E30 BBSs shod with 4 good R888s for £132. Wanted a set of these wheel and was willing to pay £125 so with a set of R88 I call that a result!

Figured I wasn't going to be able to get a set of the Ronals anytime soon or for anything I could afford so going to spray these gold with a polished lip and will look suitably 80s motorsport for the time being.

They're about half worn, they don't have very deep tread when they're fresh out of the mould. These should do 2 or 3 trackdays before being complete slicks. Seeing as they cost £130 each new and I get a set of BBS as well I'm pretty chuffed.

Polished lip will be a nightmare to keep clean on a track car.. The amount of rubber and brake dust that will be hurled at it I would finish it in something a little more maintenance free? Good purchase btw :)
