the real question is what to do? ;-)

Find out how close to Adenau you are.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Holiday cottages on the Isle of Wight for 2-10 people? PM me.

244km, or just over 2 1/2 hrs by google.  Car is currently SORN but should (?) pass an MOT with a little work.  Not sure about the BFG test as it has parts of the TUV in there as well.  I will have to visit though, possibly in a hire car.

Well it's now all tucked up in a garage for the winter. It will emerge in the spring when I have decide what happens next. This will all depend on what's going on with work etc.

  Mines not done much better, only reason it's wherever it is now is because it got a cheeky birthday bump not long ago!

Well I suppose after all this I ought to add something of interest.

Once Christmas is out of the way I shall be sitting down with my friend Marcus and discussing the plans for spring. He has a workshop (see Archies Volksrod for an example!) and skills with a welder and a paint gun.

I think the initial plan will be to weld up the rust, blow it over with a fresh coat of Alpine white and the VW motorsport stripes, get it MOT'd and taxed and then hit the track like that for the summer and get a few days under my belt.  Depending on costs and budgets it may get a cage in this period as well.

After summer 2012 it'll then be off the road again for an ABF swap with MS and ITBs as well as more work on making it a BTCC rep.

Sounds good.   Like the idea of the motorsport stuff since I've seen your Forza mk2 on here. I've been having similar thoughts but have to be patient... One thing I'm tempted to do like you one day is to replicate Richard Lloyds stripes from his group 2 car as seen HERE
