T1-R road-based all-weather goodness FTW.

That's the plan for the spring. At the moment it's goignt o be getting a mixed bag of branded part worns to see it through the winter. As it'll only be doing the odd meet and sunny blast that works out nicely while I use my spare money each month to get my finances in better order in advance of my impending redundancy.

Although I have put 4 x T1R's or Uniroyal Rainsport 2's on my crimbo list!

17's now gone so it's back on the 15's and looking better. Should be ordering 4 x Toyo T1R's in the next couple of days (Camskill have 195 50's on special offer for £28!) and then I need to get them fitted and I can start taking it to meets and to work on sunny days again.

Stuff that needs sorting before the next track day is growing as I find stuff that needs replacing. So far it deffo needs:

* Pair of front discs (Grooves have almost completely worn away)
* 2 x Outer CV joints
* Seems to have developed another oil leak despite not being used so I need to investigate where that's coming from.
* Oil pressure gauge (Cause I hate not having one in a car that gets pushed this hard)
* 2 x Toyo R888's in GG compound for the front.
* Welded in brace/harness bar.

I'd also like to get some buckets and harnesses in there but funds are going to be very tight over the winter so it's unlikely. I will soon be getting the grinder out though and get cracking on more lightening!

Fitted 6 points in mine, as they were free, and didn't find that I was contricted.  The crutch straps come up and then split either side with plenty of room between.  The straps have to pass through rings mounted quite a long way back from the buckle on the lap belt and are not really near the "wedding tackle" at all.  I can see that a 5 point might get a little uncomfortable but the 6 was just snug.  Having seen the mess that can arrise from "submarining" under a, admitidly poorly fitted, 4 point it is not worth the risk.

Very happy with mine and the seat was a Corbeau Pro Sprint XL £180 delivered so didn't break the bank either.

You shouldn't believe everything you read on the interwebs.

Do the straps up tight and it's not an issue.
