MOT is also due in a couple of weeks on this one. Why do I have to have 2 cars with MOT's due within days of each other? Doh!

Anyhoo current list of things I know need sorting/replacing are:

* Headlight allignment
* Non working Horn
* Hole in rear arch
* Windscreen washers are wack
* Both rear calipers in need of a rebuild as the handbrake is next to useless.
* Possible screen replacement, need to measure the chips.

I'm also going to struggle with the emissions test as it spits unburnt fuel out of the exhaust at idle. THe guy I bought it off reckons that telling the tester to hold it at 1,999rpm for the test and it should go through.

If you're near Didcot Tesco (or if there are any other cheap repairers down near you) there is a guy that does them at the round about. I paid £35 for two - normally £30 for 1 with him, but he doesn't charge too much extra for additional chips.

it might be worth going into the mot garage to ask about the rust on the rear arch. you might just get away with it. didnt the guy you bought it off say it passed the mot? thats gonna be the big job if you have to do it!

give the calipers a good oil before you try rebuilding them, you might be able to free the handbrake bit off. are the cables not stretched?
