Yeah I'll see if he and his mate Simon can help me out once I've cleaned it all up and I'm happy the captive nut and stuff in the floor is OK before covering it over. I suppose on the upside it's still open so I can see how good the repair is rather than finding a welded plate and wondering what horrors lurk beneath. It's just a bit of a nasty surprise really.

A nut's spun, someone's repaired it, but they didn't finish up properly.

You might have tried dropping the subframe at some point in the next year and spun that nut and that would have been a lot more annoying.

 i think that , the Demon Tweeks M3 , in the pics is actually parked in Demon Tweeks Showroom , if i get chance next time in out that way ill pop in an see if there are any pictures to be had  :wink: i pass it now and again

In case anyone missed the thread in the trackday section, I bought a cheap (£22) video camera to use in the Golf. The following is the first attempt at mounting it in the Golf, the dash the chosen location.

I've started on em mate. Currently making up templates from pieces of card. Hopefully get em finished next weekend.
