« on: 08 May 2009, 07:20 »
I had my car cleaned yesterday

Just been outside to put the bins out and have bird sh!t all down the front of the bonnet !!

What is the best way of cleaning this off without getting the whole car cleaned again !

I use luke warm water form the kettle, this just soften's the bird poo, and stop's it from scratching the paintwork. I then use meg's detailer to clean up the paintwork. Comes out brilliant. steve30

I use a sodden kitchen tissue and leave it on the poo for a few minutes. The poo then  just easily comes off.

Spit on the poo. The enzymes in your saliva eat the poo away.

a bit of water and a cloth? Seriously I just use some tap water and Meguiars Ultimate Quick detailer. Microfibre cloth too. I wouldn't use a kitchen towel as they are wood fibre and may scratch the paint.

Just out of interest, has anybody used the Autoglym Bird Dropping Wipes?

Saw them the other day but £4.99 for 10 wipes, thought that the price was a bit steep!!
