another mk2 dead
« on: 06 May 2009, 20:47 »
my mk2 gti looks like its written off, as yesterday i was sitting at the lights when the police came down the road with there blues an two's on, when the guy in the lane to my left decides to reverse right into me, luckily the police saw everything and the guy admitted fault right away, but now its the waiting game to find out how much im goin to get back for the car.

iv spent the past year doing it and spent about 700 on it, it was also due to be repainted next month, what i wony get back is the time put in.

hopefully il get at least 500, with me keeping the car as iv brought another for 500 with no tax or mot, so its a case of swapping parts over, but at least the paint job is stil in good nick as i now cant afford my euro look gloss black car.

i will get a few pics up in the project section as im undergoing the work which is goin to keep me busy for a while.
the joys of motoring

at the mo im rolling around in a 08 diesel focus, courtesey of the other guys insurance.

and one of her before

well all my mods are listed with there value with HIC, wheels cost 100 without tyres and cost 180 for refurb, coilovers were 200, window tints were 150, but iv renewed lots of parts, with bills for 400 in parts, as i done the work myself, overhauled the engine bay so, undersealed everything, even painted the engine, and last week renewed the insurance and road ta, all that was left was the paintjob. it even had service history up to 2006, with 1000's in reciepts, and now iv got to do it all again, best way i see it is that ill end up with a nice dailey with a few hundred spare from insurance to spend on parts.

An agreed policy for me was £100's more than a normal policy.
