can be done if you know how to reprogram the cluster but seems a pointless thing to do as it would look silly IMO

it was for a mate of mine whos got a gt tdi, after he saw the clocks in my gti, he wanted the high line comp and the way the dails look them selves...

i doubt he will do it if theres too much to do, he does really want the high line comp tho

from what i've read its much more difficult to retro-fit the highline computer into the MK5

in the MK4 it was simply a case of plug and play, recode the keys and adjust the mileage - 5 minute job at most

yes just had another 5 minutes on for the mk5 cluster :nerd:...has long has you have the right cluster 1k6 920 970EX Z02 try ebay or your dealer(£265) this is the GTi cluster with highline and service intervals and you'll need Vag-Commander and VCDS to change the mileage and code the keys and ecu.

I think it took me about 45 minutes from getting the old clocks out of the dash to finishing coding the keys.

The Gti cluster will work fine in a diesel the revs will be normal i.e it will redline at 4.5k - 5k revs the only thing you wont get is the glow plug light but thats no biggy.

really? thats amazing, some good news there!

one problem, the gt tdi has mid line atm

and the gti has high line,

can can this be done? ive got a spare multi function wheel aswell if that can be done, because i think you might need that for the computor?

The highline is not a problem I just fitted a gt tdi highline cluster in mine which originally had the midline...the ccm which controls all your gadgets on your car is an highline module so the information it give the midline will be the same on the highline but just in a different format i.e a top view of the car with which ever door, boot or bonnet open as opposed to a small car in the top of the midline.

And yes the MFSW can be put in aswell but you will need a new airbag wiring loom and again will need coding.  by the way you dont need the mfsw to control the computer...you can do it from the wiper stalk the only function you wont get is to control the stereo,  you DO need the mfsw to do that.
