REMAPPING MY TDI 130

hey guys jst a little more advice on my remapping mod im gonna get done soon. i have a gt tdi 130 and i am going to get it remapped very soon but i have been told if i am going to get any other engine mods done i should get them done before remapping? (i am getting a diesel dump valve) is this true? also my friend has a bora tdi 150 and it is remapped to 220bhp, how is this possible? what could be the maximum output with my tdi 130 after a remapp? thanks anthony

Surly he must have bigger intercooler etc to get that much increase.  :huh:

1) don't waste your money on a dump valve
2) no engine mods are really needed
3) no chance without a hybrid turbo

150 TDI's come with a FMIC as standard  :wink:

what is FMIC??? and yes my friend said he had a bigger intercooler but i dont know if that was standard with it being a 150bhp or a aftermarket mod he done

exactly the same as your side mounted intercooler

do a google search as i don't know the ins and out of how it works

A larger FMIC won't increase power...it just stops you losing it on warmer days.

As said above, you won't really need anything else doing to your 130 other than a remap.  Costs beyond a remap are major as you'll need an uprated clutch straight away which isn't cheap.  Better to upgrade chassis.
