pre heater?

when i picked up my new project a vr6 obd2 on sat was told it has a slight leak from the pre heater pump was told this is used to heat the car up quicker any ideas on this its the seal thats gone

have any of you had any dealings with this and any idea on cost

normally something to do with the breather pipes side of inlet system.
