Anniversary / Colour Cencept Identity Theft

Some people have in the recent past purchased one thing only to find out later, that it wasn’t what they thought it was?

Over this past weekend and the proceeding week, there has been sufficient parts available on E-Bay to re-construct a Mk.3 ‘Anni’ (or produce a replica) which remains highly desirably model and continues to carry a premium accordingly.

There is one on ‘E-Bay’ at the moment currently for sale - LHD imported from Spain and described as an ‘Anniversary’ which being sold by a London Dealer, which it patently isn't – it’s Dragon Green and change of colour wasn't a factory option!

The same also applies to Colour Concepts - Beware out there, and don't get mugged! It's on the 'V5'

ABC pillars are black not grey. Has the ani clocks. Has the ani trim badges, and rear badge. Has the right gaitor on the handbrake. Has the bigger bolstered seats? Cant see the red seat belts, but it looks like an ani to me, even if it is dragon green.

Steep price though.

It has standard gti interior. Not the ani interior, or the CC leather?

Its a miss match at that.

All it takes it someone to buy some bits and bobs to make a near replica. Plus 3K, screw that.

Not sure. As i know what VW are like with miss matching bits and bobs on cars and then labelling them as something. Just unsure. Although granted it is dragon green, and dont have the ani seats.
