Lights on Buzzer

should my 16v have a lights on buzzer?

if not, how do i add one?

Yeah, they're the little bamboo pipes hung in a circle, that hang from the pull handle above the door.  Make a nice tinkling sound when you open the door.

I think they were factory fitted on most golfs.

I've never come across a mk3 golf without a lights on buzzer.

door chimes is a lil pip that sounds when a door is opened.


i mentioned them because i'd assume that the lights on thing and the door chimes would detect the door opening the same way.

I aint got the door chimes - but have got lights on buzzer.

Its not very loud either - left my lights on by mistake one day, lucky it was only for a few hours, but main go down to side only somehow.

Got a lights on buzzer but no door chimes.

The lights drop to side lights whenever the ignition is off.

Also, if you turn the car off, pushing the indicator stalk up or down will turn on the sidelights on that side of the car.  I guess for on road parking safety.  I found this out when i parked and couldn't get the buzzer to go off beacuse i knocjed the indicator stalk down by accident.

I checked yesterday. Definitely don't have a lights on buzzer  :'(
