Alarm

I just got an ed30 an want to know if by standard they come with an alarm... when i lock the motor on drivers side door i get a flashing red light.. Does this indicate than I have an alarm as I looked for the interior sensors but couldn’t find them

Pretty sur you will have one, I have a gti and when the red lights flashing its immobilised and alarmed.
Best thing to do is lock it lock it all up so the LED's flashing away and open the door manualy with the key, it should then sound after 15 seconds I believe!

Do you have the rocker switch on the door pillar for switching off the interior sensors / inclination sensor?  Probably the most neighbour friendly way of checking

Its low down on the drivers side door pillar, sort of beside the adjuster wheel for the seat back.  Should be pretty obvious when you look for it but it doesn't catch your eye if you're not looking for it..

Didnt realise anything was there - will check for it later
