boost problems
« on: 26 April 2009, 17:48 »
alright guy's..

Right ive got a mk2 AUM/AGU Inlet,QPENG(PLUG/PLAY) k03s turbo and injectors,forge 007p..n so on!

But just recently it wont hold anymore boost than 10psi when ya floor it! It used to hold upto 22psi.. Ive had a full service and so on in the last month costing a good 700 notes and thoght that would solve the issue but no such luck.

The guy that did my work(top bloke) works for audi and said its the actuator broke down after hold so much boost for so long. would that be right???

And what would ya up-grade to.........

could be if the acuator is not letting the wastegate shut you would have that problem  what you need to do is check for boost leaks and make sure your wastegate is compleatly closed

missfire is bad news,    do you have software to talk to the qpeng ecu
all the VW's have gone bar 1.

Until you've got some diagnostic software on it you're scratching around in the dark, trying to guess what's wrong.  It could be a heap of things.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

i would advise getting that looked at NOW.  the qpeng  ecu dosent have half of measures to protect your engine that the stock ecu has.   is it's getting boost spikes that really isn't good.

or if your doign  it't yourself you'll just have to work through till you find the fault
all the VW's have gone bar 1.

your lack off boost could be a crack in the turbo where the waste gate shuts , if you have been running big boost for a long time the actuator slams shut cracking the housing

i know this because me RS Turbo did it when i was running 32PSi

did do 335 BHP though

but as the lads say sort out the miss fire cos that WILL melt a piston before a lack of boost will (again something i was used too with carp RS turbo managment ) or lack of managment !!!!! KE jet !!!!!!
