central locking question...
« on: 26 April 2009, 15:21 »
Hi, my central locking works intermittantly - on investigation the blue solenoid in the driver's door works occasionally - this seems to have an output air pipe on one side of it - but this is not connected to anything?

Should it be - although from searching it seems the driver's door is purely electronic? or should it be at least closed off - as does this effect how long the c/l pump runs because of the rubber bellows inside the solenoid?

Any ideas?

The drivers door is end of line I believe, when I stripped mine out the drivers front is blue however the rears and boot are red and the passenger front is blue but leads up into the engine bay area or somewhere behind!

Id say it should not be leaking air as the pum has a breather valve which is the popping on locking and unlocking I am to presume
