Not at all, the G60 is 8v to start with and runs Digi1. I'd bet your engine is K-Jet if its 16v. Running boost through a K-Jet isn't practical or easy to set up (by the sounds of things).

Unless you have a full donor G60 with ECU, Engine + Box and full loom - its simply not a good idea.

wouldnt it be easier to do the 16v conversion on an ABF? considering ABF lumps only go for a couple of hundred. or do i talk crap?

you choudl do a ABF g60 but may as well be based on the PG or KR   dosent really matter whitch.   you needs to get hold of some AUDI s2 5cyl 20VT pistons  ( you can also use the rods )   if the bores in your engine are good they'll go straight in, then bolt the G60 bracketry to the frount of the motor,  bit of a nightmare to source the alternator brackets,   you use DF 1 with a chip from sns
all the VW's have gone bar 1.

Mine doesn't whine! :undecided: Or perhaps I can't hear it under the sound of the exhaust. And yes it does work. I know that because  trounced 3 new Scirroco 2.0 TSI's today!

Do you intend to do a full conversion, or build a 16v with a G Lader compressor?

Is it pretty easy to convert my valver into a G60 then? 16v G60???

Anything is possible if you have the knowledge and the funds to back up your dreams.

one thing you must remember is on r.h.d cars the alternator fouls on the brake servo, this is because they have to mount the alternater at the rear as the charger goes in front. so you would either need a remote servo or to relocate the alternator.

You can relocate the alternator below the charger using the AC pump bracket. You need to run a smaller alternator, a mk3 vr6 one for instance.
You need to spacer out the pulley on the alternator and possibly on the charger, cant remember exactly.

H981cvv, i notice your in cornwall, you had any dealings with rk engineering in st agnes? If not, i recommend you find an excuse to go down there and check out jeremys abf 16vg60 corrado, he's just mnaged to get 300hp out of it

I was going to get all the bits for my old Rallye to get a 16vG60 setup, I had a 9a engine that I was going to use, but apparently a KR is stronger (all opinions I know.........). It is very expensive and as said parts can be a nightmare. If your serious, have a look a BBM, but even they have stopped doing the conversion kits. I agree the whine of the G60 is something I fell in love with and still love the sound. If you can afford it, go get it as a 1.8T comes now where near for the sound!
