I bought a KN induction kit, and it sounds too bad, nice note on it. but should sound better with a beefy back box.

I have heard both and as a result I have now got a pipercross one. The pipercross is foam filled where as the k&n one is filled with paper, this can bugger up if you dont clean it. I was also told by people who sold both that pipercross were better

I would stay away from the paper filter induction kits I was reading up on them because I currently have a k&n in my 96 gti and looking for a replacement. But what I heard was that the paper filters actually reduce the amount of air flow rather than increase it......

Talkin about K&N. I got my 16v VAG serviced about 2 weeks ago. Ive got just a K&N air filter in it. Does anyone know if they would of taken it out and cleaned it properly as stated by k&N? Or, knowing VAG, just ignored.
