on mine you can see the tensioner at the top of the engine, when the engines is running it should be moving backwards and forwards very quick
not sure how it comes off, Rich may have a link somewhere  :grin:
oh and the pulley costs around £20  :wink:

You'll have to hold the tensioner back and put something through to lock it off, I used a bolt which when I removed it, it was s shaped  :grin:

Ady did you manage to do the pulley yourself? Mine needs doing on my Polo but the garage said I need special tools!

Is that what's needed? They just said special tool and I was in boots so didn't have time to discuss exactly what. If it's a bog standard bearing puller than that's cool as I can pick one of those up for a few quid and do it meself.
