What can i wangle out of him for waiting so long is the question!  Am thinking gti mats and a tank of fuel? What du reckon guys? Bear in mind i got the car a grand cheaper than the asking price already...

Lucky if you get any new mats (it should come with them anyway - assume you checked the bottle opener etc) - I'd try for money off on it's next service (assuming this is a stealer/somewhere you want it to be serviced) or the fuel.  Just remember you will be a "less" valued customer now the deals done so might not give a toss about keeping you sweet

I thought mats came standard?

If you ask for a tank of fuel, make sure its not the standard unleaded, but the higher octane stuff ;)

How about a free service when its next due?
I mean, you waited for a month and didnt go elsewhere, so its the least they can do ;)

Mine was 6 months old and the bottle opener had gone for a walk and told them to replace it and they did (this is a VW stealer)

Ill have to check the mats, if they come as standard then the car should have them but if the previous owner has lifted them out then im pretty knackered, future service sounds like a good idea though, still got him by the ba%%s really as he hasn't honoured the conditions of the purchase order (which states pick up the car no later than the 21/03/09) so should be able to milk a bit more, it's an official stealer so certainly won't feel bad about it!
