gttdi or v6 4motion
« on: 19 April 2009, 19:45 »
Ok, so looking like im going to sell my 130bhp tdi to my sister, n im thinking of going for a v6,but to be honest i dont know if its worth changing from the gttdi to the a v6 4 motion.

so this is me being stoopid, n asking if theres any vast differences that would make it worth the change if i do sell my current golf to my sister.

how many miles you do a year??
How about buying a v6 4mo and swapping engines to have a PD130 4mo and a V6 2mo

Would it be worth remapping my gttdi? like, wont my insurance company frown on it more as its a modified car, rather than if i bought a v6, which im sure would burn a hole in my pokcet for feul.

see if i keep my car, i really want to do something to make it look special, but body kitting it falls into the moding zone again.

Remap HAS TO BE DONE

depends how you're with re your insurance - mine went up about £90 or so i think

body modifications aren't adding power to the car which is what insurance companies tend to frown upon

why not get some quotes so you can decide what to do

Go with HIC, engine mods will put the price up but body mods and suspension didn't on mine

thanks rhyso..

i considered a mk5 gti, but i had one for two weeks as a hire vehicle when mine got a ding. was good, but im not sure, thats a car that needsss playing with, but looks so good when done right.

hmm, see im kinda blonde with insurance as far as body mods are n remaps. if it wouldnt effect me on a kit id put an r32 bod on it, but im sure it will hit high if i do that on my insurance.

hmm, confuzzeled!
